Welcome to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School! What an exciting time – we can’t wait to welcome you and your children to King!
As you will soon learn, King has an active Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and encourages family involvement in many ways inside and outside the classroom. We are looking forward to getting to know and work with all of you. As you get ready for your child’s kindergarten year, here is information about some important upcoming King events that you may want to note:
Wednesday, August 22, 5:00-7:00pm Kindergarten Open House
Wednesday, September 5 First Day of School!
Tuesday, September 11, in the evening Kick-Off PTO Meeting
Through email, phone calls, and notices that will go home with your child, we’ll let you know the time of the first PTO meeting, and about many other events that will happen throughout this school year and we will have a full schedule of PTO events available at the Kindergarten orientation.
